Privacy policy
How Real Estate Dominican Republic collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use this website.
About this policy
Effective date: 6 October 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Real Estate Dominican Republic, referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”, handles personal information collected through this website. It applies when you browse property listings, submit an enquiry, request a valuation, use the property finder, contact us, or use an authorised owner account.
Real Estate Dominican Republic is the operator of this website and the controller of the information described here. Privacy requests may be sent through our Contact page.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide in our forms. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, residency or visitor status, visit dates, preferred locations, budget, property requirements, message, and details about a property you want to sell or rent.
When an enquiry relates to a listing, we also record the listing reference, page address, page title, selected language, form version and the questions shown when you submitted it. Attribution details, such as campaign parameters in the page address, may also be recorded where present.
For security and abuse prevention, we may create a one-way hash derived from an internet address. We do not use that hash to identify you directly. Authorised owner accounts also require account and session information for secure sign-in.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to property, area and general enquiries;
- help match buyers and renters with suitable properties;
- review valuation and property-listing requests;
- send requested communications and arrange viewings or next steps;
- deliver form submissions to our customer relationship management system and keep a delivery record;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website;
- maintain business records and comply with legal obligations; and
- protect our rights and prevent misuse or fraud.
We process information with your knowledge when you submit it, to take steps you request, for legitimate business and security purposes, and where necessary to meet legal obligations. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it for future use.
How information is shared
Form submissions are sent to the customer relationship management system used by Real Estate Dominican Republic so our team can respond and manage the enquiry. We may also use website hosting, database, storage, email, mapping, video and technical service providers that process limited information on our behalf.
We may share information with agents, property owners, developers or independent professionals only where this is necessary to address your request, arrange a service, progress a potential transaction, or where you ask us to do so. We do not sell your personal information.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, legal process or a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect people, property, the website or our legal rights.
International services and links
Some technology providers, and some recipients involved in an international property enquiry, may process information outside the Dominican Republic. Privacy and data protection rules in those locations may differ. We select services appropriate to the function they perform and limit the information shared to what is reasonably needed.
The website may link to third-party websites or display services provided by Mapbox, YouTube or other providers. Their own privacy notices apply when you interact with those services. A property map is loaded only after you choose to show it. A YouTube video may connect to YouTube when its embedded player loads or when you play it.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, manage our relationship, maintain appropriate transaction and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the nature of the enquiry, whether a transaction follows and applicable requirements.
We use administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through a general enquiry form unless we specifically request them through an appropriate channel.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable Dominican Republic law, including Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access, correction, updating or deletion where appropriate. You may also ask us to stop optional communications or withdraw consent for future processing where consent applies.
Submit a request through our Contact page. Tell us enough to identify the relevant enquiry. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may retain information where the law or a legitimate legal need requires it.
You can manage optional browser storage through Cookie Settings in the website footer and through your browser settings.
Children
This website is intended for adults interested in real estate. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Changes and legal review
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. Material changes will be presented on this page.
This policy is written to explain the website’s actual practices and relevant Dominican Republic principles in clear language. It is general information, not legal advice, and should be reviewed by qualified Dominican counsel before being relied on as a final legal document.
Website analytics and advertising measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, provided by Google, to measure website visits, enquiry submissions and the performance of our Google ads. Google may receive pages viewed, traffic source (including ad clicks), device and browser details, approximate location and enquiry events. We do not share the contents of your enquiries with Google.
Outside the EU, UK and Switzerland this measurement runs by default. In those regions it uses cookies only if you choose “Allow all”. Otherwise Google receives anonymous, cookie-free signals only. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for details.
